The Solo Leveling Ragnarok webtoon is officially teased to return for Season 2, and ARISE just rolled out an alternate-reality webtoon starring Sung Jinah.

The Solo Leveling universe is expanding once again. It’s been nearly a year. If you thought Solo Leveling: Ragnarok had quietly ended, and wondered what came next, well, it just came roaring back. Meanwhile, in Solo Leveling: ARISE, the sweetest surprise is about to strike: Sung Jinah, the sister we’d nearly forgotten, now walks a Hunter’s path. Ready or not, the Solo saga is expanding in more ways than one. These developments mark a major step in the franchise’s multi-platform growth, uniting novel, webtoon, anime, and game content into one interconnected K-content juggernaut.

The Long Shadow Shortens: Solo Leveling Ragnarok Season 2 Is Coming

Four months ago, Ragnarok ended with Chapter 47 on KakaoPage—leaving Suho at his most powerful threshold, only for the screen to fade to black. It was quiet… until D&C Media dropped a surprise!

Season 2 Tease: a silhouette comeback

On July 31, 2025, D&C Media, the official publisher of Solo Leveling and its sequel Ragnarok, posted a shadowed silhouette on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by the tagline:

While the post itself does not clearly say which series it is about, the image certainly leaves no doubt that it is about Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.

Not only does the copyright text on the image credit Jin, the series illustrator, but the teaser image is a clear silhouette of Sung Suho. He is the main character of Ragnarok, and the image is straight out of one of the last panels in Episode 47, the Season 1 finale.

Season 1 went on hiatus after Chapter 47

Season 1 of the Ragnarok webtoon wrapped on April 3, 2025, with the final panel of Chapter 47 hinting at Suho’s new “Irregular: White Shadow” evolution—then abruptly paused on hiatus. D&C later described the break as a four-month pause “to prepare for the next arc” with a “more mature Suho.” Online speculation has centered on creator health and schedule resets.

Novel ends, freeing the webtoon for full steam ahead

On July 23, 2025, the Ragnarok web novel by Daul officially ended at Chapter 375, with a message from publisher Papyrus (KakaoBook imprint) thanking readers for the journey. With the source material now concluded, the Ragnarok webtoon can confidently adapt the entire story without pausing to wait for new chapters. The interview with the publisher hints that Season 2 might drop as early as August or early Fall 2025—but nothing official yet.

Why this matters—timeline recap

  • A four-month break ensures the production team “recharges” and maintains quality.
  • With the novel now fully published, the webtoon’s narrative direction is fully mapped and can proceed without catch-up pacing.
  • The Season 2 tease provides motivation for dormant readers—fans are now eager for the next arc of Suho’s evolving journey.
  • From Suho’s new powers after the job change quest to Cha Hae-in’s appearance and Thomas Andre’s interest in Suho, Season 2 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok offers much to look forward to.

What “Hunter: Origin” Means for ARise

Hunter: Origin is a series of official one-shot webtoons, published in Solo Leveling: ARise, which expand the lore by showcasing alternate-reality (IF) awakenings or backstories for hunters—both familiar and newly introduced. These digital one-shots typically launch together with the in-game debut of each character. Cha Hae-in was the first to feature in May 2025, exploring a timeline where she leads the Valkyrie Guild instead of joining the Hunters Guild.

These stories are fully supervised by Netmarble (with REDICE Studio art and Chugong/Writers’ team endorsements) and are officially tagged as Hunter: Origin on the Netmarble forum.

Sung Jinah’s Hunter: Origin (July 2025)

It asks one big question: What if she had awakened her hunter powers before Jinwoo? Set during the tragic School Dungeon Break, the story explores her trauma, guilt—and the spark of courage she never had the chance to ignite. This is not canon; it’s alternate lore designed to bridge storytelling with gameplay.

The Hunter: Origin – Jinah story explores that sudden moment of guilt and awakening after failing to save classmates in her school dungeon break, imagining an alternate world where she obtains hunter powers on her own.

Inside ARISE, accessing Jinah’s Hunter Origin story unlocks a Hunter Analysis File, voiced once again by Rebecca Wang, Jinah’s English dub voice from the anime.

Where to Read or Watch It

  • The “Hunter: Origin – Jinah” webtoon is embedded within Solo Leveling: Arise (Android, iOS, PC), accessible from the visual lobby or character preview. The full comic is unlocked after pulling Jinah, along with her Hunter Analysis File featured in the update video.
  • Players can also visit the Netmarble Arise Forum Thread #92919, where the official teaser post is pinned.

Why It Matters: The Cross-Platform IP Magic

Ever wondered why Solo Leveling feels like it’s everywhere yet stays alive? This is how:

  1. #RagnarokS2 pulls old readers back to Tapas/KakaoPage just when they’ve turned off.
  2. Jinah’s Hunter Origin gives ARISE players a fresh character to chase—one with a mystery story you’ll need to unlock.
  3. Marketing synergy: tease Suho’s return in the webtoon, then nudge fans to pull Jinah in the game. Or show Jinah’s new storm in ARISE, then remind them that more story awaits in Season 2.

It’s play, read, engage, pay—but done so smoothly you don’t see the bridge. That’s the Solo engine at full power again.

Final Word: The Shadow Is No Longer Solitary

Solo Leveling was once a story about one hunter. Now, its shadows stretch across Suho’s legacy and Jinah’s storm-formed arc. You’ve been waiting for Ragnarok’s return—and Jinah gives you a reason to jump back into ARISE with purpose. More importantly, it proves Solo Leveling still knows how to surprise us.

Whether you’re a diehard webtoon fan or a ARISE gacha strategist—or both—this is your moment. The next chapter is just beginning.
