Samsung released its latest lineup of gaming monitors at the largest game show in North America – Summer Game Fest this month. The event started on June 7th at YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles. With 6,000 attendees in LA and thousands more online, Samsung was one of the many brands that announced the latest and greatest in gaming tech.
Samsung Odyssey OLED Gaming Monitors
The 2024 OLED gaming monitors by Samsung come with OLED Glare Free technology that reduces reflections on the screen from external sources such as sunlight or room lighting. By reducing the reflections, these monitors can offer immersive gaming experience with minimizing distractions.
These monitors also feature the OLED Safeguard+ technology which helps in preventing burn-in. Burn-in occurs when static images are displayed on the screen for extended periods, which can leave faint ghost images permanently visible.
The monitors come with Dynamic Cooling System which utilizes a coolant that evaporates and condenses to dissipate heat from the monitor. According to Samsung, this method is five times more effective than the traditional method using graphite sheets.
The HDR10+ Gaming technology helps players by optimizing the game experience automatically. Using this technology, game content scenes are analyzed to deliver the optimized HDR gaming environment.
Odyssey OLED G8
A 32-inch monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate and 4K UHD resolution. It is also packed with new AI capabilities for more enhanced entertainment features. The NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, developed by Samsung, likely using artificial intelligence (AI) for improved image processing. It can upscale content to near-4K resolution. This provides a sharper and more detailed image, even if the original content isn’t in 4K.

This 27 inch monitor comes with 360 Hz refresh rate and has QHD display resolution.
