South Korean mobile carrier SK Telecom is bringing the K-Pop experience to the metaverse, K-Pop Hotel, with a brand new service on its platform, ifland.
K-Pop Hotel – A Virtual Fan Community
ifland is transforming into a vibrant fan community with a unique “hotel” concept. Fans can gather and interact with their favorite idols and artists within this virtual space.
Meet Your Idols Floor by Floor
The K-Pop Hotel has dedicated floors for different artists. You can explore these virtual spaces to connect with your favorite groups and soloists.
- Artist Lounges: These dedicated areas offer interactive content. You can meet your favorite artist here.
- Member Rooms: Each member of a group gets their own room containing exclusive content such as quizzes that unlock “secret frames” and dynamic 3D volumetric models.
- Customization and Engagement: You can personalize your experience by dressing mannequins in artist lounges with different costumes.
The First Guests in the K-Pop Hotel
The virtual girl group aespa has already claimed the 99th floor as their home base. More artists will be arriving soon on the SK Telecom’s K-Pop Hotel.
Rookie boy band Riize is set to join by the end of the month, followed by Sandara Park in September.
SK Telecom’s Vision for the Future
This is just the beginning for the K-Pop Hotel. SK Telecom plans to integrate artificial intelligence and introduce fan missions to further enhance the experience. Their goal is to foster deeper connections between fans and artists while shaping the future of K-Pop culture.
A New Hub for K-Pop Fans
